There are several scenic drives for viewing
all year round. The Newton
B. Drury Scenic Parkway through Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, Bald
Hills Road to Dolason Prairie, and Alder Camp Road near the mouth of the
Klamath River all offer impressive displays.
In the north, U.S. 199 and Howland Hill Road through Jedediah Smith
Redwoods State Park plus South Fork Road in the Smith River National
Recreation Area also have impressive views.
For those who wish to hike, boy scout trail, the Cathedral Tree Trail and the Prairie
Creek Trail in Prairie Creek Redwoods and the Mill Creek Trail and the
Nickerson Ranch Trail in Jedediah Smith Redwoods offer nice hikes. See 6
